New England Local Section to Host
Technical Meeting and Showcase
AIHA’s New England Local Section will
host its annual all-day technical meeting
on Sept. 30, 2009, at the Sheraton Need-
ham Hotel in Needham, Mass. The meet-
ing will feature presentations by national
and local leaders in the industrial hygiene
and EHS fields, including keynote speak-
ers David Ropeik, risk communication
consultant and former television reporter;
Barry Beder, vice president of AllOne
Health and former sports psychology
consultant for the Boston Red Sox; and

This event provides an opportunity to
network with health and safety professionals and to interact with industrial hygiene and environmental safety and
health organizations, companies and suppliers. This year’s meeting will incorporate a new format that includes breakout
sessions after the keynote addresses and
brief vendor presentations in addition to
the vendor exhibition. An ethics seminar
