Tips for Synergist Submissions
The following are important points to
keep in mind when submitting material for The Synergist, including the
graphics requirements that will ensure
an attractive and readable figure or
table to accompany the text.
Short and to the point. All
submissions will be edited
for space, style and clarity.
For specific word count information, consult with the
editorial staff. Articles
should be submitted sent via
e-mail to synergist@aiha.org.
Keep it simple. The Synergist is
designed to be a quick read. Keep
prose simple and readable. Avoid
jargon. Write as if you were explaining
a concept to an audience outside of
the profession.
Figures and tables. If you are submitting tables or figures with your
article, each graphic should be sent
as a separate file and should not be
embedded in the main document. It
is imperative that the file be in its
original format—that is, the format in
which it was created. For example,
do not import a TIF graphic file into
a Microsoft Word document; submit
the original TIF file. Figures
also must be in a standard
format such as TIF, JPG or
EPS, and saved at a resolu-
tion of 300 dpi or higher.
Adhering to these specifica-
tions will result in the best
quality presentation for the
graphics.
Contact information. Include names,
addresses and phone and fax numbers
for each author with all articles so
that readers who want more information can contact the source directly.
