From April 12 to April 16, AIHA® Contin-
uing Education will offer its Comprehen-
sive Industrial Hygiene Review in Ann
Arbor, Mich. This four-and-a-half-day
course is an intensive, high-level review of
a wide range of industrial hygiene topics
for individuals preparing to take the ABIH
Certified Industrial Hygienist examination
(CIH), those who have taken the exam but
need a refresher, or others who desire a
comprehensive review of topics relevant to

2009 JOEH Archive CD Now Available
The 2009 Journal of Occupational and
Environmental Hygiene archive CD was
recently mailed to AIHA® members. It
contains all content published in 2009,
including technical articles, columns,
letters to the editor, case studies, lectures, and subject and author indices. If

Winner of Ken Dillion Award to Be
Honored at AIHce 2010
The AIHA® Biosafety and Environmental
Microbiology Committee will present its
annual award honoring the memory of
Dr. Ken Dillon, a former member of the
committee and an AIHA fellow, at this
year’s AIHce in Denver, Colo. The award,
which consists of a plaque and an honorarium, is given to the best student
poster at AIHce on either a biosafety or
an environmental microbiology project.
The award recipient must be a graduate
student studying at an accredited university. All nominees are chosen by a panel
of three judges from the Biosafety and
Environmental Microbiology Committee.
Award criteria include originality of the
study and applicability of the findings to
the profession.
Luke Johnson, graduate of Carleton
University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada,
was the 2009 recipient of the Ken Dillion
Award.

19th Annual California Industrial
Hygiene Council Conference Held
in San Francisco
The California Industrial Hygiene Council
(CIHC) held its annual conference Dec.
14–16 in San Francisco, Calif. The CIHC
Conference is a three-day meeting conducted by a consortium of California-based AIHA® local sections that aims to
update attendees on current federal and
state regulatory and legislative efforts
