AIHA® Signs MOU with Indian Association of Occupational Health
On Feb. 4, AIHA President Cathy Cole and Indian Association of Occupational
Health (IAOH) President Shyam Pingle signed a memorandum of understanding
(MOU) that expresses the organizations’ intent to cooperate with each other to support their overlapping missions.
The agreement specifies that the
organizations will collaborate to
promote their goals and objectives;
explore the possibility of conducting joint educational and training
events; conduct official visits; explore the possibility of advancing
industrial hygiene practice in
India; and maintain an open dialogue with each other.
Founded in 1948, IAOH is a society of approximately 2,000 occupational health and safety
professionals. The organization’s
mission is to make workplaces in
India healthy, safe, green and free
of hazards.
