JOEH Says Farewell to Editor in Chief
Michael S. Morgan, ScD, CIH, has ended
his tenure as editor in chief of the Journal
of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene
(JOEH). In November 2003, Morgan became the first editor in chief of the newly
formed JOEH—the joint, peer-reviewed
publication of AIHA® and ACGIH®.
Morgan joined JOEH with 28 years
of experience in environmental and oc-
cupational health graduate education.
He is a professor in the Department of
Environmental and Occupational Health
Sciences at University of Washington’s
School of Public Health and an adjunct
professor in the Department of Chemical
Engineering at the University of Wash-
ington. He holds a BS in Chemical Engi-
neering from Cornell University and an
ScD in Chemical Engineering from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He was a postdoctoral trainee at Harvard
University’s School of Public Health.
