Aug. 1: Early Registration Deadline for Singapore Confer-
ence and Exhibition
The inaugural AIHA Asia Pacific OH + EHS Conference and
Exhibition will be held in Singapore Oct. 11–13 at the Raffles City
Convention Centre. Organized by AIHA®, the three-day event will
comprise a conference, an exhibition and pre-conference Professional

AIHA® to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Maritime Advisory Committee for Occupational Safety and Health (MACOSH).

industrial hygienist.
AIHA® Opens Center for Safety and Health in Sustainability
AIHA announced in June the opening of the Center for Safety and
Health in Sustainability (CSHS), which will define how safety and health
professionals contribute to the long-term sustainability of organizations.
CSHS is a collaborative effort among AIHA, the American Society of
Safety Engineers (ASSE), and the U.K.-based Institution of Occupational
Safety and Health (IOSH).
AIHA®, CCOH to Coordinate Educational Efforts
On June 2, AIHA signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with
the Canadian Council of Occupational Hygiene/Conseil Canadien d’Hy-giene du Travail (CCOH). The organizations agreed to coordinate efforts
to improve worker health and safety, generate joint
activities that enhance and highlight the role of
occupational hygienists and other OEHS
professionals, advance IH practice, and
foster joint educational programming,

Gulf Coast AIHA® Supports Student Competition
Members of the Gulf Coast Local Section and student
chapter participated as judges for the 52nd Intel Science
and Engineering Fair in Houston, Texas. The ISEF is a
